Big brother is here
Hey everyone. Just a quick update from Colorado. The flight is booked for Nandu to come to Denver. He will be making a pit-stop in Dallas to visit a friend and then coming to Denver on the 5th of Feb. He wants to find a job and I want to try and get him enrolled in school. We will be filling out a Fafsa as soon as he gets here to try and get some funds for this endeavor. It helped me out through my years at CU and hopefully do the same for him. I'm going off of Mike's income and am banking on how little he makes to try and get some Grants. I'm also going to try and help him out in finding a job. We will keep you updated on how it goes. Wish us luck.

I'm getting married! (again)
Hi everyone,
Hare and I have chosen a date to get legally married - January 19th, 2008. We will still want to do a vedic "real" wedding in India within the next year. This one will be very small, with just us and will be performed by our friends Anandini and Paramahamsa.
Lots of love,
Nandini

Hare Krishna!
Today I went by bike to a remote village by the name Bellpuckur ( about an hour ride by bike from Mayapur). Actually I went there to pick up some woolen balls that I had ordered for my dolls.
Someone told me that near by the house, where they make the woolen balls, was a small temple with a very ancient deity. So, this time I went and visited this Deity. His Name is Madan-Gopal.
What a beautiful deity it was! This Krishna deity looked like a charming little boy. When I saw Him, I immediately started crying. After giving the Pujari a jar of Ghee that I had made, I quickly rode away on my bicycle. I felt that I am not qualified to stay at such a sacred place. Now I can't get this little boy out of my mind. He stole my heart.
Later on I found out that this deity belonged to Lord Caitanya's maternal grandfather, Nilambara Cakravarti Thakur. This beautiful deity is said to have been worshiped by Nilambara Cakravarti Thakur, the father of Mother Sachidevi. I feel very fortunate of having being granted darshan of this beautiful deity.
